The end of summer brings its own rituals – Some fun, like labor day picnics, and some intense, like Burning Man.
I’m about to take part in an end of summer ritual that happens in my neighborhood: The Solano Stroll. I’ll be hosting a booth this coming Sunday and I’d love to see your face there. The Solano Stroll isn’t quite Burning Man. But I know that interacting with so many people takes energy. I’ve got my post event self care scheduled, and little else, for the day after.
Speaking of Burning Man, I can’t help but to think about my patients who go, this time of year. I love when they intentionally come in afterward to re-balance after their hearts or minds are so blown open. I frequently see anxiety, grief and big existential questions surface in the treatment room after festivals like this.
