About Me
I help driven, sensitive, overwhelmed people live vibrant, flowing and abundant lives. Here’s the story of how I came to do this work.
It All Started In The Corporate World
It’s hard to believe that it was over 20 years ago that I launched into my first professional career in consulting engineering. I threw myself into the work with fierce enthusiasm but without regard for personal balance. I had learned that the secret to life was to work hard, gain praise, get promoted and to make more and more money so I could eventually retire.
Where Boundaries and Balance Were Alien Concepts
But nobody had told me how to set boundaries with managers if deadlines were unreasonable (or that saying “No” was even an option!). Nobody had shown me how to shake off the intensity of the day so that my mind wasn’t cycling through all the anxieties and frustrations of corporate life. Nobody had told me that my success wouldn’t matter if I wasn’t also lit up in other areas of my life. And, strangely, nobody had taught me that my lifestyle choices had a huge impact on my health and ability to navigate all of the above.
The Personal Cost Of Corporate Life For Me
This grinding lifestyle left me:
- Uninspired, overworked and chronically stressed
- Fueling my life with sugar and coffee during the day just to feel some enjoyment at work
- Relying on that glass of wine at the end of the day just to feel some relief
- Grappling with horrible PMS that seemed to last all month long, leaving me miserable
I Knew I Couldn’t Continue Down The Same Path Of Burnout
One day, a friend who knew I was struggling suggested I try acupuncture. I have never looked back. Not only did Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine turn my health and mood around, it helped me exceed my expectations for wellness. It was this transformation that fueled my vision for helping others. I was so inspired by my newfound equanimity and vitality that I threw away the golden handcuffs of my existing career and started over so I could prevent for others what had happened to me.
You Don’t Need To Change Your Career Like I Did
I am so grateful for the shift that this medicine provided me back then as well as for the way that it guides my life and keeps my body balanced as I age. AND I am so grateful that I get to help people struggling like I did, with anxiety, stress and other health issues. Every day I help people discover their unique, optimal balance of health, vitality, career success and life satisfaction.

Want To Know More About My Training and How I Work?
On my journey back to health and balance I encountered my healing tools: Chinese Medicine, five element philosophy, acupuncture, qigong, meditation as well as Buddhist and Daoist spirituality. My journey as a healer, an entrepreneur and spiritual seeker has allowed me to deeply connect to the most essential principles of the medicine I practice and share that with others so they can have alignment, ease, freedom, vibrant health and easeful success.
I have experience working in integrated medical settings and women’s health and fertility clinics, including The California Pacific Medical Center Stroke and Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Clinic. My ongoing, post-graduate training and mentorship focuses on emotional health, women’s health, meditation, mindfulness, qigong, energy work, five element philosophy and Daoism. I have been in private practice since 2011. I am a California Licensed and Nationally Licensed Acupuncturist and hold a Master of Science Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM), formerly based in San Francisco, California.
I practice alongside chiropractors, massage therapists, and personal trainers in Albany, CA and have an extensive network of trusted colleagues that I refer to so that my patients get the most holistic and complete care.
