As many women navigate their 40’s and 50’s they experience something called Yin Deficiency. This is most commonly experienced with a decrease in the body’s natural cooling and moisture, as well as decline in hormone levels such as estrogen and progesterone.
As these hormones decline we might experience a variety of symptoms including:

- Weight gain
- Hypothyroidism
- Depression
Everyone is unique and some people may experience a combination of BOTH yin and yang deficiency as they go through peri-menopause and menopause.
